The renovated Herbert Hooverplein in Leuven has been fitted with new benches. This completes the redesign of the square which has been transformed into a place to enjoy in the city center.
The redesign of Herbert Hooverplein began in 2018. The plein (square) was enlarged with space for meetings and extra greenery. Also included is a fountain which symbolizes the medieval city walls.
The benches are made of waste and eco-friendly concrete elements with wooden seating surfaces. With the new benches, Leuven residents and visitors can now enjoy the square even more.
